On May 22, 1992, the United States Postal Service issued new versions of the entire 1893 Columbian Exposition series. The 16 U.S. stamps, ranging in denomination from 1¢ to $5, are on six souvenir sheets (Scott 2624-29).
Examine your 1992 Columbus souvenir sheets for varieties: errors, freaks and so-called flyspecks. You may be surprised what you discover on the stamps, or on the design of the souvenir sheet (outside the perforations).
Along with the tagging-omitted errors listed in the Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers, there are numerous freaks and varieties to discover on the 1992 Columbian souvenir sheets.
