The United States Postal Service will sponsor a public dedication ceremony for the Harvey Milk commemorative forever stamp May 28 in San Francisco.
The event, which is open to the public, will take place at 3:30 p.m. at San Francisco City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlet Place.
Rosemarie Fernandez, USPS vice president for employee resource management, will represent the Postal Service at the ceremony.
The Harvey Milk stamp has a scheduled issue date of May 22, but the official first-day ceremony is planned at the White House and is not open to the public.
