The 2014 Stamp Yearbook published by the United States Postal Service will debut nationwide Dec. 10, according to USPS spokesman Mark Saunders.
Preorders for the book started Sept. 1.
The book this year has drawn attention for the inclusion of a mint three-stamp $2 Circus souvenir sheet that will be available singly only with the purchase of the book.
Saunders confirmed, however, that press sheets will be sold for the Circus souvenir sheet, stating the “Circus souvenir sheet will have press sheets, but details on the quantity and whether or not they will be die-cut are pending.”
Uncacheted first-day covers of the $2 souvenir sheet will also be sold. It is expected there will be two FDC varieties: one with the standard black ink cancel and the other with a digital color postmark.
The 2014 Stamp Yearbook sells for $64.95 and is USPS item No. 991400. The book includes 90 stamps issued during 2014, with a total face value of $44.63. The additional $20.32 cost offsets the expense of the book and the stamp mounts.
