The four United States Farmers Markets commemorative forever stamps will be issued Aug. 7 in Washington, D.C.
The U.S. Postal Service announced the issue date in the June 26 issue of its publication Postal Bulletin.
Details of a possible first-day ceremony were not revealed as of Linn’s press deadline.
The date coincides with National Farmers Market Week, celebrated by the U.S. Department of Agriculture during the first week in August.
The four stamps show different products grouped together with signs displaying prices. Illustrator Robin Moline created the artwork for the stamps that will be issued in a pane of 20.
