World Stamp Exhibition 2015 in Singapore well underway

  • The 2015 World Stamp Exhibition is underway in Singapore, and Singapore Post is tweeting about it.

1. World Stamp Exhibition underway 

The World Stamp Exhibition began Friday in Singapore, which last hosted the event in 1995.

The country is celebrating its 50th Year of Independence in conjunction with the event. 

World Stamp Exhibition attractions include: 

  • Display from the archives of the Singapore Philatelic Museum
  • Exhibits from distinguished collections showing the development of Singapore's 180 years of postal history and stamps
  • Exhibits of world-wide award winning collections
The event will run through August 19, and is being held at the  Sands Expo & Convention Centre
2. Honoring The King 
USPS officials and hundreds of fans gathered in front of Graceland in Memphis, Tenn., to unveil the post office's latest commemorative stamp
3. Vatican shows some Brotherly Love
Vatican City will issue a stamp Sept. 2 commemorating the eighth World Meeting of Families to take place in Philadelphia. The congress will be held Sept. 22-25, followed by the Festival of Families Sept. 26.
