Some members presented short displays during the meeting, according to the society: "David Gurney commenced with a fine display on Forwarding Agents. Robert Shaw followed with three separate subjects: items relating to the 1971 Post Office strike, Mont St. Michel and an excellent range of early Valentines cards. Other displays included those of Gerald Marriner and Jon Aitchison, both with an eclectic selection of Channel Islands mail and ephemera. Finally, Richard Flemming showed a range of Channel Islands mail sent by various routes overseas, including South Africa, Canada and Singapore."
