Looking toward 2011

The United States Postal Service's request for a January increase in first-class letter rates was rejected, so the U.S. stamp program for 2010 appears to be complete.

That means it's time to start looking ahead at the stamps we'll see in 2011.

This month's newsletter includes news of a U.S. semipostal stamp that will be issued next year, photographs from two recent U.S. first-day ceremonies, and a look at the treasure trove of information the new Scott Specialized Cataolgue of U.S. Stamps and Covers has to offer.

Happy collecting!
