April stamps add to series

Familiar series of stamps dominate the United States stamp program in April. New issues will join the American Treasures, Distinguished Americans and five-year Civil War stamp series. As Louisiana celebrates 200 years, its new stamp slips right into the Statehood series. Whichever series you like best could turn into your next specialized collection.

This month's newsletter also includes photos from first-day ceremonies for the U.S. Danny Thomas and Arizona Statehood stamps, a look at stamps from the back of the book, and topical stamps for every hour of the day.

Happy collecting!
