Cliche city

Cliches are often avoided in writing, but we hear them all the time in daily conversation. Denise McCarty's entertaining article about animal cliches on stamps in this month’s newsletter grew out of a conversation about cliches here at Linn's offices.

We also have a look at the U.S. stamps that will be issued during August, and a newly announced stamp from San Marino created in response to recent earthquakes in northern Italy.

First-day ceremony fans will find reports from July events celebrating the U.S. Innovative Choreographers and Major League Baseball All-Stars stamps.

Enjoy!
