End of the year issues

The month of November rarely sees the release of a new U.S. stamp issue, but this year is an exception. A late addition to the 2012 stamp program is the six-stamp Lady Bird Johnson souvenir sheet. Details of the new issue are included in this month's newsletter.

We also take a look at U.S. playing card revenues, stamps featuring that famous fashion doll Barbie, and the new Scott Classic specialized catalog.

And if you weren't able to attend the Oct. 10 first-day ceremony for the new Holy Family Christmas stamp, we also have images from that event in Washington, D.C.

Lady Bird Johnson sheet Nov. 30
