Stamps worldwide celebrate Harry Potter

The British boy wizard Harry Potter, star of movies and books worldwide, is set to be celebrated Nov. 19 with a stamp issue from the United States. Postal Service officials, however, are keeping details of the issue a secret – apparently right up to its scheduled issue date.

For fans of the novels and the movie series, there hasn't been a shortage of Harry Potter stamps. This month's Linn's newsletter includes a feature on Harry Potter stamps worldwide.

We also have photos and videos from recent first-day ceremonies for the Ray Charles stamp in Los Angeles and Christmas stamp issues in New York, as well as a preview of the new Scott Classic specialized catalog.

Happy collecting!
