Siegel has prepared detailed catalogs for the sales of part 2 of the Getlan collection and part 1 of the Venn collection.

Separate catalogs have been prepared for the Kramer and Rose collections and for the classic U.S. stamps and covers sale featuring the Allen and Houdon collections.

A highlight is a mint example of the well-known 1962 4¢ Thatcher Ferry Bridge stamp with silver omitted.

Highlights of the sale include graded U.S. stamps, proofs and essays of the popular U.S. 1869 Pictorial issue, a collection of rare plate blocks, flight covers and U.S. possessions.

According to the auction house, the sales will be conducted quarterly with the next one tentatively planned for October.

The production miscue is a vertically imperforate horizontal pair of the 1982 20¢ America’s Library stamp.

Linn’s Stamp News was made aware of the 13¢ Talking Pictures color-omitted error pane at the April 22-24 Westpex show.

“The three stamps offered here are not only treasured by collectors, but also stand out as important cultural icons of modern China, embodying its sociopolitical history and mirroring its economic development,” Kelleher and Rogers said.

The June 28 Rarities of the World sale will be followed by the June 29 auction of part 3 of the Magnolia collection of U.S. mail in China and Japan.

The Running Chicken and numerous other well-known cancels were the creation of Waterbury, Conn., postmaster John W. Hill.

The 218-lot auction includes duck stamp prints from winning artists, artist remarques and signed stamps, essays and proofs, and much more.

Fawn specialized in and exhibited the Large Queen issues for many years, winning gold awards at numerous shows from 1999 to 2019.

The seven-day auction series will feature seven separate catalogs offering an extensive array of stamps and postal history.

The city included the changes as part of a sweeping package aimed at reinvigorating small businesses in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The collection, which David W. Gorham assembled over many years with a keen appreciation for quality, will be offered in more than 1,200 lots.

The auction will conclude with a substantial selection of large lots and collections.

Featured in the auction will be the collection of 1851-1999 Canadian postage stamps formed by Robert J. Barish.

Specialized U.S. holdings that will be up for bids are the John Drew collection of Arizona postal history and the Manwood collection of express company labels.

Stamps with vending- and affixing-machine perforations are listed and valued in the Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers.

Both collections up for bids offer collectors numerous opportunities to add desirable stamps in exceptional condition to their holdings.
