Collectors desiring to begin or add to a collection of Poland stamps and postal history will find much to tempt them in this sale.

According to Kelleher and Rogers, the two-day sale “has a spring in its step, with over 800 lots on offer.”

The highlight of the three-day auction will be the third day, Nov. 13, which will be exclusively devoted to the first part of the Keith Stupell (1939-2024) collection of Germany and related materials.

United States stamps and postal history will be up for bids during all three days of the auction.

Among the 178 lots in the sale are some of the finest stamps and covers available to collectors of carriers and locals.

“This special sale celebrates the very foundation of Great Britain’s philatelic story: the imperforate, line-engraved issues of Queen Victoria,” Kohler said in the foreword to the sale catalog.

According to Cherrystone, all proceeds from the auction will benefit various charitable organizations Robert S. Boyd supported during his lifetime.

According to Kelleher, the collection also shows considerable strength in airmail, special delivery, postage due, Official, newspaper and parcel post stamps.

A fascinating exhibit offered during the first session of the sale focuses on the U.S. Army and its postal service abroad during World War II (1941-45).

The auction includes more than 700 lots and features offerings from numerous name collections.

According to Cherrystone, the auction will open with United States stamps and covers. There will be numerous rarities and stamps with graded certificates.

One of the more eye-catching items in the Napoleon collection is a used strip of 10 of the 1861 5¢ green Jefferson Davis stamp (Scott 1) printed from stone 1.

The sale opens with a handsome selection of essays and proofs of the 1847 issue through various modern issues.

The sale, which contains more than 1,600 lots, opens with enticing selections of stamps from Great Britain, Australia, Bahamas, Cayman Islands, India, Ireland, Jordan, Leeward Islands, Mauritius, Nevis, New Zealand and Straits Settlements.

Emphasis in the sale is on classic-era United States stamps and postal history from the late 19th through the early 20th centuries.

Cherrystone Philatelic Auctioneers will tempt bidders with more than 1,450 lots of United States and worldwide stamps and covers.
