In October the United States Postal Service unveiled a new “prototype for retail locations.”

The design highlights the Postal Service’s role in delivering holiday cheer, featuring a USPS delivery truck crossing a stone bridge, framed by a festive border of holly leaves and berries.

The Postal Regulatory Commission will review the changes before they are scheduled to take effect, the USPS said in a Nov. 15 press release

The new postmark is much more legible, and it seems that different things are also being tried with the character limits.
