USPS becomes official shipping sponsor of National Hockey League
By Linn’s Staff
The United States Postal Service and National Hockey League announced Jan. 15 that they have entered into a sponsorship agreement that connects the two organizations and makes the USPS the official shipping sponsor of the NHL.
Under the agreement, NHL fans will have opportunities to connect with the Postal Service at NHL events. The USPS will benefit from numerous exclusive marketing rights with the NHL through the league’s marketing, digital and social media channels.
In addition, the two organizations will collaborate on original content and storytelling across each group’s platforms, the USPS said.
“The NHL epitomizes the competitive spirit and embodies the characteristics of teamwork, endurance, determination and the relentless pursuit of excellence,” USPS vice president of marketing Sheila Holman said. “Every day, our organization brings these traits into our daily service to the American public and so we are pleased to bring our brands together for what promises to be a fun and entertaining collaboration.”
“USPS is one of the most iconic American institutions and brands, with a tremendously vibrant 250-year heritage, and we are proud to welcome USPS to the NHL family,” NHL group vice president for business development Jason Jazayeri said. “We are excited to create powerful content and experiences together and to delight the fans of both the NHL and USPS.”Connect with Linn’s Stamp News:
