Mint P3333 Art Deco Bird plate number found
Mint single of the United States nondenominated (5¢) Art Deco Bird nonprofit coil stamp with plate number P3333.
Mint examples of plate number P3333 have been found for the United States nondenominated (5¢) Art Deco Bird nonprofit coil stamp (Scott 4495). Collector Frank Covey of Illinois reported the find to Linn’s in late August.
Covey purchased the stamps in person from the philatelic window at Stamp Fulfillment Services in Kansas City, Mo.
These are the first known mint examples of the plate number. Linn’s Aug. 25 issue, page 10, reported the existence of the new number used on mail sent from Maryland.
