Boston 2026 announces exhibition selection advisory committee

By Linn’s Staff
Boston 2026 World Expo public relations chair Thomas Fortunato announced June 13 that the show’s organizing committee chose Darrell Ertzberger, Peter McCann, James Mazepa and Charles Verge to serve as the selection advisory committee for the show’s exhibition.
Fortunato said all four individuals are gold medal exhibitors as well as national jurors with the American Philatelic Society and international jurors with the International Federation of Philately (FIP).
Ertzberger serves as chairman of the APS Committee on Accreditation of National Exhibitions and Judges, and McCann is a former board member and president of the APS.
Mazepa is a past president of the Interamerican Federation of Philately and current chair of the APS International Committee. Charles Verge has been president of both the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada and the American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors.
The four will work with exhibition management and FIP consultant Reinaldo Macedo to select philatelic and literature exhibits after the application deadlines end Sept. 30, 2025, and Jan. 30, 2026, respectively. They will also advise on jury composition.
Fortunato said the exhibition has received hundreds of exhibit applications through the Boston 2026 website. Applications for the FIP classes, including the first-day-cover class and championship class, are also being accepted.
Boston 2026 World Expo will take place May 23-30, 2026, at the Boston Convention and Exposition Center. Show details and instructions to sign up for email updates can be found on the Boston 2026 website and via the expo’s Facebook, X and Instagram pages.
