Cheesy postmark celebrates National Grilled Cheese Day

Postmark Pursuit by Molly Goad
This week’s featured cancellation spotlights a charming character: a smiling, open-armed grilled cheese sandwich.
As a symbol of National Grilled Cheese Day, celebrated annually on April 12, the pictorial postmark shown nearby hails from the Philatelic Show 2024 held April 12-14 in Boxborough, Mass.
I also wanted to mention a fishing scene postmark (not pictured) from South Otselic, N.Y., complete with an endearing depiction of an adult and child reeling in a fish, accompanied by a bird enjoying its catch.
The grilled cheese postmark has been extended for 30 days. To obtain the postmark, address your request to:
GRILLED CHEESE Station, Postmaster, 7 Post Office Square, Acton, MA 01720-9998, April 12-14.
Share information by writing to Postmark Pursuit, Box 4129, Sidney, OH 45365.
