Collectors Club of Chicago to sponsor Boston 2026 literature library

The Collectors Club of Chicago has been named the Boston 2026 World Expo philatelic literature library sponsor after a $5,000 donation, Boston 2026 public relations chair Thomas Fortunato said in an Oct. 7 press release.

The Collectors Club of Chicago has now reached the donation status of Boston 2026 Directors, for donors who have contributed $25,000 or more.

“It is fitting that the Collectors Club of Chicago has agreed to sponsor the literature library,” Fortunato said, “as their very charter has as its primary objectives the documentation, preservation, advancement and promotion of philately through education, study, research and services.”

The club’s comprehensive library is maintained by members, and its holdings can be searched in the David Straight Memorial Philatelic Union Catalog online at http://1549.sydneyplus.com/final/Portal.aspx.

The CCC has published a number of works on a range of philatelic topics, many of which have been digitized and are available to download for free.

The deadline for literature applications is Jan. 30, 2026. All entries will be available to view at a special reading room at the Boston 2026 World Expo.
