New date for Healthcare Community stamp ceremony

By Linn’s Staff
The United States Postal Service changed the date of the dedication ceremony for the nondenominated (73¢) Healthcare Community forever stamp from Oct. 1 to Oct. 3 due to a scheduling conflict, the Postal Service said in a Sept. 9 press release.
The Healthcare Community stamp will go on sale Oct. 1 and is currently available for preorder. The official first day of the stamp is still Oct. 1.
Anyone who previously registered for the Oct. 1 ceremony and who wishes to attend the rescheduled ceremony Oct. 3 will need to register again online by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Oct. 2.
The location and time of the event remain unchanged.
The ceremony will take place Thursday, Oct. 3 at 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, The Hubert H. Humphrey Building, Great Hall, 200 Independence Ave. SW, in Washington, D.C.
The ceremony is free and open to the public.
