Some varieties of press sheets are selling out
The press sheet without die cuts for the United States $19.99 USS Arizona Memorial Priority Mail Express stamp is nearing sold-out status.
The United States 21¢ Abraham Lincoln stamp press sheet without die cuts has sold out through the U.S. Postal Service, and the press sheet of the $19.99 USS Arizona stamp issued without die cuts is nearing sold-out status.
USPS spokesman Mark Saunders told Linn’s that the “USS Arizona press sheet without die cuts is no longer listed on the Postal Store since quantities are very low.”
Saunders also confirmed that the Abraham Lincoln press sheet without die cuts was removed from sale April 24. The stamp was issued March 13.
The varieties of the Lincoln and USS Arizona press sheets manufactured with die cuts remain available from the USPS.
Five hundred USS Arizona Memorial press sheets were produced for each of the two varieties. That press sheet comprises three panes of stamps and sells for the face value of $599.70.
The Abraham Lincoln press sheet was manufactured in a quantity of 2,500 for each variety and consists of three panes at a face value of $12.60.
Press sheets and sheet varieties without die cuts are not assigned separate Scott catalog major numbers by the Scott editors. Instead, they are mentioned and valued in the Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers in a footnote following the issue listing.
