Rudolph, Wis., celebrates new Rudolph stamp issue Nov. 6
Nov. 6 Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer postmark in Rudolph, Wis.
The central Wisconsin community of Rudolph celebrated the Nov. 6 issuance of four Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer stamps with a pictorial cancellation and an event.
The official first-day ceremony took place in Washington, D.C., but the town offered a first-day-of-sale pictorial postmark featuring the famous reindeer.
The ceremony took place at the Think Academy, a public charter school in Rudolph.
The town has permanent street signs with an image of the red-nosed reindeer on them, and the local post office offers a pictorial postmark each year in December.
To obtain the new Rudolph first-day-of-sale postmark, which has a 30-day extension, send requests to the following address:
