Five Batman pictorial postmarks offered during Comic Con
One of five Batman pictorial postmarks offered in New York City for the Oct. 9 launch of the new Batman forever stamps.
Collectors and comic book fans take note: the New York City post office created five different pictorial postmarks celebrating Batman.
The cancels can be used with the eight new Batman forever stamps issued Oct. 9 at New York Comic Con, held Oct. 9-12.
One of the postmark designs is pictured here. The five designs are all similar but have minor differences.
To obtain these postmarks, send all requests within 30 days from the postmark date to the address below. Be sure to include a note indicating which postmark you want on your cover.
Requests for the New York Comic Con cancels are being processed by the cancellations department at the United States Postal Service’s Stamp Fulfillment Services division in Kansas City.
