USPS opens wage talks with postal workers' union: Morning Report
Linn's Stamp News gives you a quick look at what's going on in the world of stamp-collecting.
1. Contract talks begin
Contract negotiations between the U.S. Postal Service and the American Postal Workers Union began on Feb. 19.
Linn's Stamp News correspondent Bill McAllister reported last week that the union "will be pressing for banking, license services and notary services at post offices, as well as better wages and benefits, in the talks."

The currenty contract expires on May 20, Yahoo News reports.
2. Odd job
The UK Antarctic Heritage Trust is hiring a four-person team to spend five months working at the British Antarctic Station at Port Lockroy, "running the shop, post office, maintenance and museum operation."
The job description is hilarious.
3. New release
The United States Postal Service issued a new variety of its 1¢ Bobcat coil on Saturday (Feb. 21) during the Aripex stamp show in Mesa, Ariz.
