The watermarks are visible on the face of the sheet and show, from left to right, a post horn, the insignia of the exhibition, and a winged wheel.

An inscription in red references the 1953 event.

The stamp designs are each printed over with two wavy lines that extend across all four stamps, which are imperforate. The souvenir sheet was not valid for postage, therefore, according to the description in the 2014 Michel Deutschland-Spezial catalog, which values it at E17,000.
