USPS reaches negotiating impasse with postal workers union: Morning Report

1. Negotiation impasse
The U.S. Postal Service released the following statement on May 28 regarding negotiations with the American Postal Workers Union:
"On May 27, negotiations on a new labor contract between the United States Postal Service and the American Postal Workers Union, AFL-CIO (APWU) came to an impasse. The parties will continue to follow the current agreement until a new contract is reached through the dispute resolution process."
