APRL board to vote on construction proposals
Trustees of the American Philatelic Research Library will meet in a telephone conference Thursday, Feb. 5, to discuss and vote on proposals affecting library construction plans.
The library is part of the American Philatelic Center in Bellefonte, Pa.
"The APS and APRL Presidents and Treasurers, and the APS Executive Director and Comptroller have reviewed the architect’s recommendations and the three contractor’s bids for the Phase 9 of the Library construction," according to information posted on the American Philatelic Society website.
Funds to pay for the construction comes from a $1.6 million loan from the APS, as reported in the Dec. 15, 2014, Linn's, plus donations toward the project.
The document from the APS and APRL officers recommends accepting the low bid of Veronesi Building and Remodeling of State College, Pa., as general contractor for Phase 9 construction.
