Eubanks wins Champion of Champions award

The exhibit “The United States Imperforate Issues of 1851-1856” by Gordon Eubanks won the Champion of Champions award at the annual American Philatelic Society Stampshow, Aug. 21-24, in Hartford, Conn. The exhibit presents archival material, production varieties, large multiples, examples of availability, a range of usages and more.
Eubanks’ exhibit was one of the 31 grand-award winners of APS-certified national exhibitions held from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014, competing for the annual top honor.His exhibit was chosen in October as the grand- award winner at Sescal in Los Angeles, Calif.
Eubanks previously won the 2012 Champion of Champions award for his exhibit “First Federally Issued Postage Stamps.”
The APS Stampshow 2014 awards banquet was held Aug. 23 at the Hartford Marriott Downtown hotel, adjacent to the Connecticut Convention Center, where the competing championship exhibits were displayed.
