Florex celebrates 75th anniversary at Dec. 6-7 show

The 75th Florex stamp show will take
place Dec. 6-7 at the Volusia County Fairgrounds’ Tommy Lawrence Arena, 3150 E.
New York Ave., DeLand, Fla.
The show is organized by the Florida
Stamp Dealers’ Association and the Central Florida Stamp Club.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday,
and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A one-time admission fee of $5 covers both
days, and parking is free.
The show will feature up to 35
dealers and 150 frames of competitive exhibits. Hourly door prizes will be
awarded, and buckets of stamps will be available at a youth area while supplies
last.
A show cancel and cacheted
(decorated) cover will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Florex.
As a World Series of Philately show,
the multiframe grand award winner will qualify to compete in the Champion of
Champions exhibition at the Great American Stamp Show in Schaumburg, Ill., Aug.
14-17, 2025.
The Florex single-frame grand award
winner will be eligible for the single-frame Champion of Champions competition
at the Chicagopex show in Itasca, Ill., Nov. 21-23, 2025.
Societies holding meetings at the
Florex show will include the Florida Postal History Society, Canal Zone Study
Group, Souvenir Cards Collectors Society and the Germany Philatelic Society
Chapter No. 23.
Presentations will include an
American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors forum on exhibiting, “Collecting
Topicals” by Central Florida Stamp Club members, “Save the Manatees” and more.
