Foundation names new trustee
Carl A. Contiguglia has been named as a trustee of the Philatelic Foundation.
Contiguglia is a student of postmasters’ provisionals, carriers and locals, Western expresses, Italian States and Hawaii philately.
He is a managing director at Morgan Stanley, and has provided financial advice and raised capital for large corporate clients globally for 25 years, according to the Foundation. Contiguglia currently serves as global head of the firm’s Natural Resources Group.
He received his bachelor’s degree with distinction from Cornell University’s College of Arts and Sciences, and his MBA with distinction from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management.
Contiguglia resides in Manhattan with his wife and two daughters.
The Philatelic Foundation is a not-for-profit educational institution chartered in 1945 to encourage and advance philately. The Foundation engages in a broad range of educational activities including the expertization and authentication of rare stamps and covers, and the development of educational projects.
