Hot Rods forever stamps likely in York, Pa.
The United States Hot Rods stamps appear to be on schedule for issuance in June.
In an interview with the Watertown (N.Y.) Daily Times published Feb. 23, former Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee member Cary Brick said:
“My wife, Janet, and I have accepted his [Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe] invitation to join him when he dedicates some yet-to-be-revealed-publicly stamps depicting sporty hot rods at a national car show in York, Pa., later this year.”
Hot Rods stamps are included in the CSAC list of accepted stamps designs published by the Washington Post and reported on page 10 in Linn’s March 10 issue.
Though not specifically named, the stamp ceremony could coincide with the National Street Rod Association’s “Street Rod Nationals East Plus” event June 6-8 at the York Expo Center in York, Pa.
