Victoria Reggie Kennedy, a lawyer and the widow of Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts, has been nominated by President Barack Obama to be a member of the board of governors of the United States Postal Service for a term expiring Dec. 8, 2016.
The Feb. 12 White House announcement said she will replace Carolyn L. Gallagher of Texas, whose term has expired.
The nomination to the board that oversees the USPS is subject to the approval of the Senate.
