Lux to chair Americover 2025

D.A. Lux will chair the American First Day Cover Society’s convention planning and Americover 2025 committees, according to a Feb. 13 press release from the society.
Lux has been a member of the American Philatelic Society and the American First Day Cover Society for more than 40 years, and he has attended nearly every Americover show in the past 15 years.
The Americover show is the annual convention of the American First Day Cover Society and is currently a part of the Great American Stamp Show, to be held this year in Schaumburg, Ill., Aug. 14-17.
Lux lives in Texas with his wife, Dee. His main collecting interest is the United States 1983 20¢ Brooklyn Bridge stamp (Scott 2041) and its first-day covers. His other collecting interests include the stamps and FDCs for the U.S. 1990 $2 Bobcat stamp (2482), the four 1937 3¢ territory issues for Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands (799-802), and the 70¢ Chief Anderson stamp (4879).
The American First Day Cover Society is the largest not-for-profit FDC society in the world, with members in more than a dozen countries.
