Netherlands stamp celebrates Battle of Waterloo bicentennial
The Netherlands’ PostNL issued a single stamp June 22 marking the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo.
The nondenominated international-rate stamp shows a portrait of the Prince of Orange, later King William II. The stamp is sold in a pane of five with the J.W. Pieneman painting The Prince of Orange at the Battle of Quatre Bras in the selvage.
