Nevada Statehood stamp May 29

The United States Postal Service will issue its Nevada Statehood commemorative forever stamp May 29 in Las Vegas, Nev.

The 11 a.m. ceremony will take place at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts, 361 Symphony Park Ave., in Las Vegas.

The state celebrates its 150th anniversary on Oct. 31 of this year.

Linn’s has learned that the stamp design will likely feature a scene that includes mountains. The design has not been revealed by the Postal Service.

The stamp is expected in a pane of 20.
