New app, e-book versions of Scott catalogs

May 2, 2021, 10 PM

The popular Scott postage stamp catalogs are now available as e-books for Android and Apple mobile devices, including the iPad and iPhone, as well as Windows and Mac desktop and laptop computers.

The catalogs are offered through the newly opened Scott Catalogue Bookstore online at http://store.linns.com.

The accompanying Scott Postage Stamp Catalogue app (application) is available as a free download from the Apple App store and from the Google Play store.

Once registered with the online bookstore, collectors can purchase individual volumes of the 2015 Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue.

Also available are a number of individual country listings from the Scott standard catalog, including the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and Mexico.

Additional countries and eCatalogues will be made available later this year, including the 2015 Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers, Scott Classic Specialized Catalogue of Stamps and Covers 1840-1940, full regional listings for British Commonwealth and Scandinavia, and Vol. 6 of the Scott standard catalog.

The new app serves as a reader for the eCatalogues and opens to the Scott Catalogue Bookstore log-in page, so interested collectors should create an account at the online bookstore in advance of downloading and opening the Scott app.

The search function is more robust in the new Scott eCatalogues, according to Scott catalog representatives.

The new books also include a notepad feature that allows users to highlight catalog text and enter notes.

Both the notes and bookmarks are saved and are available when users log on to access their eCatalogues.

The Scott catalogs are published by Amos Media Co. of Sidney, Ohio, which is also the parent company of Linn’s Stamp News.
