May 3, 2021, 5 PM

Queen Elizabeth II's 89th birthday is being celebrated by Australia Post with two new stamps in 2015.

Linn's Stamp News gives you a quick look at what's going on in the world of stamp-collecting.

1. New Queen stamps

Australia Post is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's 89th birthday with two stamps.

"Australia Post has issued Queen's birthday stamps since 1980 following a tradition that resonates with many Australians," Australia Post Philatelic Manager Michael Zsolt said. "We trust this stamp issue will be popular with collectors and followers of royal events."

A 70-cent stamp shows Her Majesty during her visit to the Ebony Horse Club and Community Riding Centre in Brixton in October 2013. A $2.75 stamp depicts the Queen at Windsor Castle in April 2014, when she met Irish President Michael D Higgins.
