Ranking Britain's Classic Album Covers stamps
Five years after Great Britain issued its 10-stamp set honoring classic rock album covers (Scott 2724-2743), the Music Times website ranks the stamps from 10 to 1, "both for its aesthetic and its relevance within music culture."
We won't give away which album the site selected as the best in the set, but it wasn't David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. Music Times suggests that a better choice would have been Bowie's follow-up album, Aladdin Sane, which features "album art far more iconic than that of Ziggy Stardust."
