1. Missing Children stamp

We're only a few days away from the release of the U.S. Postal Service's Missing Children forever stamp.

The new issue will be dedicated May 18 at the National Postal Forum in Anaheim, California.

"This stamp features a photograph by Harald Biebel showing a small bunch of purple forget-me-nots on the left with a lone flower farther to the right, all of them against a white background," the USPS website reads.

2. Europhilex, Day 2

The Royal Mail issued a new prestige booklet and a set of six special stamps on Thursday, May 14, the second day of Europilex in London.

3. Auction tips

Charles Snee: "Acquiring stamps and postal history for your collection via bidding at an auction can be a rewarding or frustrating experience. If, like me, you prefer to avoid frustration, or if you have never bid in an auction, here are some basic pointers to get you started."
