Second plate number found for 1¢ Bobcat self-adhesive coil

Plate number P2222 is newly reported on the United States 2012 1¢ Bobcat coil.
The United States 1¢ Bobcat self-adhesive coil (Scott 4672) has been found with a new plate number, P2222.
The Bobcat stamp was issued June 1, 2012.
A new printing of the stamp was recently produced by Ashton Potter.
The original Ashton Potter printing was inscribed with plate number P1111.
U.S. Postal Service spokesman Mark Saunders told Linn’s that the new number was assigned because of a change in paper.
The Bobcat coil is not tagged because of its low denomination.
Michael Mules of Wisconsin discovered the new plate number and provided Linn’s with a scan of the stamp in early September.
