St. Louis Stamp Expo March 21-23

The St. Louis Stamp Expo will take place March 21-23 at the Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel, 9801 Natural Bridge Road, St. Louis, Mo.

The show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

The $5 per person admission fee is good for all three days of the show, and the admission ticket includes free parking. Children under 16 are admitted free.

A bourse (sales area) of about 35 dealers will offer stamps, covers and postal history from the United States and worldwide. There will also be a free beginner’s room with activities for new collectors of all ages.

The show will feature 155 frames of competitive exhibits. An awards banquet will take place Saturday evening.

The 2025 exhibit jury includes Jay Stotts (chief judge), Ronald Strawser, Patricia Walker, Frederick Lawrence, and Robert Henak.

The St. Louis Stamp Expo is an American Philatelic Society World Series of Philately show. The multiframe grand award winner will qualify for the Champion of Champions exhibition at the Great American Stamp Show in Schaumburg, Ill., Aug. 14-17.

The single-frame grand award winner will be eligible for the single-frame championship at the Chicagopex show near Chicago Nov. 21-23.

Convening societies at the St. Louis Stamp Expo include the Eire Philatelic Association, the Society for Czechoslovak Philately and the Missouri Postal History Society.

The Eire Philatelic Association will be celebrating its 75th anniversary at the show and will have a large number of exhibits, several presentations and a dinner.

Among the presentations will be the session “An Introduction to Irish Philately” by Robert Benninghoff and Brian Callan on Friday at 1 p.m., and “Graf Zeppelin” by Brian Callan on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Society for Czechoslovak Philately will host two presentations by Alan Hanzl: “Art on Stamps & Castle Art Series of Czechoslovakia (1966-present)” at 3 p.m. Friday and “Eastern Silesia (1920) – A Temporary Solution” at 1 p.m. Saturday. The latter session will immediately be followed by John Buchner presenting “Czechoslovak Provisional Newspaper Stamps, 1918-1919.”

On Friday at 1 p.m., an American First Day Cover Society session will be given by Foster Miller, “July 1, 1971 - the US Post Office Department Becomes the US Postal Service.”

A show cachet and cancel designed by local architect Tom Minor of the Greater Mound City Stamp Club will be available with cachets selling for $3 each, or $8 for a set of three.

The Renaissance St. Louis Airport Hotel is offering a show rate of $116 per night for attendees with the group code “slsslsa.”
