Stamps category on May 4 'Jeopardy!' episode
The popular syndicated television game show Jeopardy! featured a Stamps category in its episode broadcast nationally May 4.
Following the familiar answer-and-question format of the show, the category in the Double Jeopardy segment contained five clues about details on United States postage stamps, and the contestants vied to respond to each with an appropriate question.
The $800 clue, for example, pictured the Baltimore Oriole stamp from the Songbirds set issued April 5, 2014 (Scott 4886). The inscription identifying the bird was blanked out in the image, and the statement given by host Alex Trebek was, "The Songbirds series includes this state bird seen here."
The correct response, given by reigning champion Greg Seroka, was "What is the Baltimore oriole?"

All of the answers in the category related to United States stamps issued during 2014, including the Winter Fun set (Scott 4937-4944), the Batman set (4928-4935), and the Civil War:1864 set (4910-4911).
The $2,000 clue in the Stamps category was the final clue remaining in the Double Jeopardy round, and it was picked by contestant Scott Ylinen. With an insurmountable lead of $13,400, Ylinen paused for a moment, and offered to wager "Five bucks."
The clue was: "The colors of the gay pride flag adorn the stamp featuring this slain politician." Ylinen correctly identified Harvey Milk (Scott 4906).
Adding $5 to his total, Ylinen completed the Double Jeopardy segment with $18,205. He added more to his total by being the only contestant to provide the correct Final Jeopardy question, and became the new Jeopardy! champion.
