Stamps to honor long reign of queen
On Sept. 9, Queen Elizabeth II will become the longest reigning monarch in the history of the United Kingdom, surpassing Queen Victoria’s reign of 23,226 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes (more than 63 years).
In conjunction with this landmark, the new-issue agency Inter-Governmental Philatelic Corp. has arranged a multination series of stamps honoring the queen.
Antigua and Barbuda, Papua New Guinea, Tuvalu and islands of the St. Vincent Grenadines are among the postal administration participating in this omnibus.
