Sweden to honor its pop musicians

Sweden will honor six current Swedish popular musical artists and songwriters on five stamps to be issued Jan. 15, 2015. One stamp will show sisters Klara and Johanna Soderberg of First Aid Kit. The other four will picture Avicci, Max Martin, Robyn (Robin Miriam Carlsson) and Seinabo Sey.

Jan Gradvall of Frimarksradet, Sweden’s stamp advisory committee, said that the artists represent “a component of the Swedish pop phenomenon.”
