United Nations pane celebrates ASDA’s 100th anniversary

The United Nations Postal Administration issued a pane of 10 stamps and 10 labels Oct. 23 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the American Stamp Dealers Association.
The stamps show black-and-white and color photographs of the exterior and interior of the U.N. headquarters in New York City.
The labels, which are se-tenant (side-by-side) with the stamps, picture scenes of the stamp hobby and souvenirs from ASDA stamp shows.
President Franklin D. Roosevelt working on his stamp collection is pictured in one of the hobby scenes shown on the labels.
Other labels depict Manhattan’s stamp district, Nassau Street, circa 1935; and a Subway Stamp Shop booth at an ASDA show. Prominent philatelist John N. Luff (1860-1938) also is pictured.
