The American Topical Association announced upcoming virtual programs in a Dec. 16 email.

The programs take place on six Tuesdays and one Thursday during the months of January and February, and they each begin at 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and are conducted through the online meeting platform Zoom. Links to register for the courses are available online at https://americantopical.org/events.

On Jan. 13 Tony Curiale will discuss the development of his exhibit inspired by long-running television series Supernatural, sharing insights on the planning and development of the exhibit. There is no cost for this program.

A two-part presentation led by Martin Kent Miller takes place Jan. 20 and Jan. 22. The course is titled “MS Publisher is Ending – Now What?” and offers alternatives and tips for philatelists who have relied on Publisher for exhibit and newsletter design. Both sessions will be held via Zoom, and the cost for the two sessions is $25 for ATA members and $30 for nonmembers.

On Jan. 27, Alan and Diane Bauer will present “Taking Up the Gauntlet – Exploring Castles & Palaces of Eastern Europe,” a virtual journey through the philately of historic sites across that region.

A Feb. 3 session led by ATA member David S. Ball is aimed at beginners curious about entering their material in topical or thematic exhibits, with follow-up virtual sessions planned for Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 for deeper, hands-on guidance. The first session is free, and access to the remaining two sessions costs $25 for ATA members and $30 for nonmembers.

The American Topical Association is the world’s largest organization for topical collectors. Founded in 1949, the ATA has members in 49 countries. For more information, write to the American Topical Association, Box 2143, Greer, SC 29652-2143, or visit www.americantopical.org.
