Used examples of 2023 Great Smoky Mountains Priority Mail Express stamp in demand

Stamp Market Tips by Henry Gitner and Rick Miller
United States postage stamps with very high denominations often see very limited use. On Jan. 22, 2023, the U.S. Postal Service issued a $28.75 Great Smoky Mountains Priority Mail Express stamp (Scott 5752) in the popular American Landmarks series.
The design of the stamp shows an eagle soaring above forested mountains and valleys against a yellow and crimson sky.
The stamp was designed by Greg Breeding and printed by Banknote Corporation of America by lithography. The self-adhesive phosphorescent tagged stamp has gauge 11 by 10¾ serpentine die cuts.
The Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers values the stamp in used condition at the catalog minimum, $29 (the face value rounded up to the nearest dollar).
There is demand for this stamp in used condition, and examples with well-struck, attractive hand cancellations are selling for around $35.
