Winter Fun and Rudolph press sheets with die cuts sold out
Two recent press sheets issued by the United States Postal Service have sold out.
The press sheets manufactured with die cuts for the United States Winter Fun forever stamps and the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer forever stamps are no longer available from the Postal Service.
Both sold out in mid-November.
The press sheets without die cuts for both issues are still available.
The Postal Service had 1,000 press sheets with die cuts printed for each issue. Each press sheet comprises six double-sided panes of 20 stamps and sold for the face value of $58.80.
U.S. Postal Service spokesman Mark Saunders confirmed to Linn’s Nov. 19 that both items were removed from sale and that they are sold out.
The Winter Fun stamps were issued Oct. 23, and the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer stamps were issued Nov. 6.
Press sheets and sheet varieties without die cuts are not assigned separate Scott catalog major numbers by the Scott editors. Instead, they are mentioned and valued in the Scott Specialized Catalogue of United States Stamps and Covers in a footnote following the issue listing.
