Pope Francis stamps popular in the Philippines
The Philippines has printed 10,000 more examples of this Pope Francis souvenir sheet after the first edition of 7,000 sold out on the first day.
The Philippines post office, PHL Post, has gone back to press with its souvenir sheet honoring the recent visit of Pope Francis.
According to PHL Post, the souvenir sheet, which it calls its "first ever coinage stamp," sold out on the first day of issue, Jan. 13. A total of 7,000 sheets were printed. On Jan. 23, the post office announced a new printing of 10,000 souvenir sheets "to cater to the public clamor."
PHL Post is urging people to buy this souvenir sheet and the four stamps also commemorating the pope's visit at face value online from the Pinoy eMall site.
