Grinfelds appointed deputy commissioner general for Boston 2026

Dzintars Grinfelds has been appointed deputy commissioner general for the Boston 2026 World Expo, Thomas Fortunato, public relations chair for Boston 2026, said in a Jan. 3 press release.
Boston 2026 president Yamil Kouri revealed the selection Dec. 30. Kouri serves as the commissioner general for Boston 2026.
Grinfelds became the first three-time American Association of Philatelic Exhibitors youth champion of champions in the early 2000s. As an adult, he has won national and international exhibits on his specialties of Latvia, Central Lithuania and various thematic topics.
He served as the national commissioner for the United States at the Thailand 2023 Specialised World Stamp Championship Exhibition held Nov. 27-Dec. 2, 2023.
Grinfelds works as the business member of a real estate investment company he owns. Previously, he managed social and digital marketing for the Golden State Warriors and San Francisco Giants, as well as the video game publisher 2K.
Grinfelds competes on the Professional Bowlers Association regional circuit.
